Can you introduce yourself and tell us a bit about your business?

Hi, I’m Nicky Anstice. I’m a Creative Copywriter and I recently launched my own copywriting brand – ‘Nicky Anstice’. I help small businesses craft their own copy, so they can write words that sell.

Why did you decide to start your own business?

Through my day job I get to write for some of the world’s biggest brands including Google, Nike, Disney and more. And I realised, not every business has the opportunity to have professional copywriters bring their brand to life through the written word. And yet, every business needs words that communicate, connect and convert. So I wanted to share the tips and tricks I’ve learned over the years with small business owners, so they too can make their brands stand out with effective copywriting.

What do you love most about working for yourself?

I love connecting with people and sharing my knowledge. I’m passionate about copywriting – I think it’s the perfect balance of creativity, business thinking and understanding human behaviour. Through my career I’ve gained a wide range of experience, writing for brands in different industries, including technology, beauty and tourism. And I’ve written for many different formats, including video scripts, chatbots, and ad campaigns. I’ve learned so many copywriting tips and techniques along the way, it’s a joy to share them with others, so they can boost their own brand.

Any advice for other women starting their own creative business?

Go for it! Nobody has the same experience as you. Nobody has the same talent as you. Nobody thinks like you. You are entirely unique. And that’s your superpower. Believe in yourself, trust your instincts and go and shine – you deserve it.

Anything else you would like to share?

I recently launched a new product called, ‘The Ultimate Guide to Finding Your Brand’s Tone of Voice’.
